For committing his life to the security of Benue people, former Vice Chancellor, Benue State University, Professor Akase Sorkaa has stated that Governor Samuel Ortom deserves a seat at the upper chamber of the National Assembly in the forthcoming 2023 general polls.
The Peoples Democratic Party stakeholder who said this during an interface with members of Ortom/Uba/Ngbede Solidarity Movement, Buruku chapter who paid him a courtesy call at his Makurdi residence added that the implementation of the Open Grazing Prohibition Law has laid a foundation for the sustainable development of Benue state as an agrarian zone after suffering attacks from herders.
Leader of the delegation, Mr. Azor stated that they had come to pledge their unalloyed loyalty to the party through Professor Sorkaa, even as they were mobilizing support for all candidates of the PDP in the forthcoming polls.
Also speaking, wife of the academician and former Buruku LGA council chairperson, Mrs. Juliet Yator Sorkaa while appreciating members of the delegation for standing by them since their involvement in 2019 that resulted into victory for the party under the canopy of Ortom/Abounu Campaign Organization.
Mrs. Sorkaa stated that their ability to sustain the group’s grassroots mobilization reputation was an reassurance of victory for the PDP in the 2023 general elections.
Other members of the delegation include, Abanyam Iorhemba, Patrick Abger, Aliegba J. A, Vershima Tenger, Tersur Akua, and Adzor Abata.
Also on the train were Teryima Iorlaha, Akav Emmanuel, Aondofa Demekpe, Tersur Anwar, and Augustine Usu.
Mr. Azor Ichor also pointed out that members of the group were drawn from all council wards of the local government.
