The elders and stakeholders of the Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency have thrown their weight behind President Bola Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia as they seek to return to offices in 2027.
The elders also passed a vote of confidence on the President, the governor and the Chairman of the Benue State chapter of All Progressive Congress, Chief Benjamin Omale, noting that the leadership of the State chairman has brought strength to the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event took place today when the elders and stakeholders of the Federal Constituency
paid a solidarity and support visit to the Chairman of the ruling party, Chief Dr. Benjamin Omale (Ohonyeta K’Idoma.
During the visit, the elders expressed their appreciation to the President for his supports to the state. They also lauded Governor Alia for his giant strides.
They however passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu, Governor Hyacinth Alia, Chief Benjamin Omale and the party leadership at all levels.
The delegation, comprising elders, women, youths, and critical stakeholders from Otukpo and Ohimini, commended Chief Benjamin Omale for his steadfast leadership and commitment to strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State.
They also expressed profound gratitude to Governor Alia, for his generosity and inclusive governance toward the Otukpo/Ohimini zone, noting that his love for the zone is evident in the appointment of the Deputy Governor, the allocation of two key ministries—Finance and Health, as well as the position of APC State Chairman, all of which are occupied by sons of the Otukpo/Ohimini axis.
The elders and stakeholders unanimously declared their readiness to mobilize total support to ensure victory for the APC and Governor Alia in the 2027 elections.
In his response, Chief Omale thanked the delegation for their support and urged them to continue praying for leaders at all levels.
He encouraged active participation in the ongoing APC e-registration exercise and the continuous INEC voter registration, emphasizing the need for unity and commitment ahead of 2027.
He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to justice, equity, fairness, and inclusive governance, assuring that the APC will continue to carry the people along in all its programs.
The visit was led by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Musa Ujor, alongside notable leaders including Hon. Agbo Uloko (GLO Otukpo), Hon. Yusuf Hussain (GLO Ohimini), Hon. Wilfred Adegene, Hon. Austine Effa, Chief Eddy Anyebe, Hon. Alex Ineke, Elder John Achegbulu, Hon. Anne Odeh, among many others.
