PRESS STATEMENT:
The Benue State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congratulates our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Abdulrahman Mohammed-led National Caretaker Committee on the landmark victory at the Federal Appeal Court. The appellate court has justifiably upheld the declaration of the Federal High Court, affirming the Caretaker Committee as the authentic national leadership of our party.
This judicial triumph is a victory for democracy, internal party cohesion, and the collective will of our members. It lays to rest any ambiguity regarding the party’s leadership and provides a solid foundation for the crucial tasks ahead.
We extend our profound congratulations to our committed party leaders whose tireless efforts have been instrumental in navigating these challenging times. We specially acknowledge the strategic contributions and unwavering commitment of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, His Excellency, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike. We also commend the steadfastness and leadership of the Benue State Leader of the party, His Excellency, Chief Samuel Ortom, Ph.D., as well as the diligence of the Secretary of the National Caretaker Committee, Senator Samuel Anyanwu. Their collective resolve has been pivotal in keeping the party united and focused.
Furthermore, we applaud the Judiciary for once again demonstrating its role as the bastion of democracy. This decisive ruling is a clear affirmation of the PDP’s deep-seated respect for the rule of law and strict adherence to constitutional provisions.
We assure all our esteemed members and the good people of Benue State that the party is now more united than ever. With this legal clarity, we are optimally positioned to focus our energies on mobilizing the electorate and presenting our winning candidates. The PDP is fully prepared to secure victory in the forthcoming elections and return to the business of delivering good governance to the people.
