Nigerian Concord Newspaper can authoritatively report that a Senatorial aspirant under the Benue State chapter of All Progressive Congress, Barrister Emmanuel Jime has secretly registered as a member of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
According to findings, Jime did the secret registration as a second plan in case his aspiration to secure the Benue Northwest Senatorial Zone ticket under the ruling All Progressive Congress fails during the primaries.
His associates whom he had directed to join ADC since three months ago said that the aspirant is troubled over the factional problem in the Benue APC.
This newspaper gathered that Jime met with Rotimi Amaechi, former Rivers State governor as well the leader of ADC in Benue, Mr. Herman Hembe who assured him of an automatic ticket for Benue Northwest Senatorial Zone under the party if he could join the party before the close of the ongoing membership registration.
Meanwhile, the Benue APC Youths Vanguard led by Comrade James Apine has condemned Jime’s secret membership registration in ADC, noting that such is an anti party activity that must immediately be investigated..
Recall that several advocacy groups have condemned Jime’s senatorial ambition over his poor performance as a speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly.
Those groups who had issued different press statements in the past said that Jime, a former Governorship candidate under the APC is unfit to be senator over his failure as a member of the House of Representatives and also as the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council.
They complained that Jime has always been living like a foreigner in Benue state as a result of his failure to have a law chamber, any viable business or his personal building in Benue state..
According to them, Jime has never introduced his children or wife to anyone in the state as nobody has any knowledge of them.
