The gubernatorial ambition of Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa SAN, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) standard flag bearer for the 2027 Benue State gubernatorial election, received yet another major boost today as youth coordinators from Logo Local Government Area thronged his private residence in Makurdi to pledge their unalloyed support.
The youths attributed their support to Aondoakaa to the poor performance and bad representation of Gabriel Suswam when he was senator between 2019 and 2023.
Led by their leader/spokesperson, Mr. Moave Terkuma, the delegation stated that their visit was aimed at identifying with Chief Aondoakaa following his emergence as the party’s candidate and to demonstrate their solidarity with his vision for the state.
The youth highlighted Chief Aondoakaa’s well-documented plans and antecedents in tackling the pervasive insecurity in Benue State, noting that Logo Local Government Area has been particularly hard-hit by the crisis. They expressed confidence in the candidate’s ability to restore peace and stability to the region.
“We are here to show that the youth of Logo are solidly behind you. We have seen your genuine plans and track record, especially regarding the security challenges that have devastated our local government in particular and Benue in general. We promise to mobilize and garner support for you across all council wards and polling units in Logo to ensure your victory at the polls come 2027,” the youth unanimously stated.
In his welcome address, a visibly elated Chief Aondoakaa thanked the youth for their important visit, expressing profound gratitude for their gesture of solidarity and support. He assured them of his commitment to working closely with the group to achieve a resounding victory in the upcoming election.
“I am deeply grateful for this show of love and confidence. Your support means the world to me,” Chief Aondoakaa stated. “My overall agenda for becoming the governor of Benue State is to reclaim our ancestral land and ensure that peace and prosperity return to every corner of the state. I promise to work with you to make this dream a reality. Together, we will achieve an inclusive victory.”
In a related development, Mr. Korinjo Joel made a donation of a branded vehicle to boost campaign mobility and activities. A gesture Chief Aondoakaa appreciate for himself and on behalf of the Benue PDP.
