Across Northern and Southern Nigeria, many communities have shown that capable women deserve a place in leadership. Over the years, several women have been elected into the Nigerian Senate, proving that effective representation is built on competence, integrity, and commitment to the people.
Among those who earned the confidence of their people are Sen.Oluremi Tinubu (Lagos Central), Sen. Biodun Olujimi (Ekiti South), Sen. Uche Ekwunife (Anambra Central), Sen.Stella Oduah (Anambra North), Sen.Florence Ita-Giwa (Cross River South), Sen. Binta Masi Garba (Adamawa North), and Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (Kogi Central).
Their people believed in them, entrusted them with the mandate to represent their zones, and they went on to make meaningful contributions at the National Assembly.
Today, the good people of Benue North-West Senatorial District (Zone B) have a similar opportunity in Dr. Mrs. Eunice Ortom. Through years of humanitarian service, grassroots empowerment, support for women and youths, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people, Mrs. Ortom has demonstrated the qualities of a compassionate and effective leader.
If other parts of Nigeria could believe in their daughters and entrust them with the responsibility of representing them in the Senate, then Zone B also has every reason to support Dr.Mrs.Eunuce Ortom. This is an opportunity to make history by electing a woman with a proven record of service, compassion, and dedication to the progress of our people.
