The 2027 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Benue State, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN, has pledged to restore the Tor Jemgbagh, His Royal Highness Chief David Afatyo Ajoko to his official palace in Gboko within 24 hours of his inauguration, if elected Governor of Benue State in 2027.

Chief Aondoakaa made the pledge today during a brief stopover in Gboko East where he addressed a group of his supporters.

It will be recalled that the immediate past Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom, reconstructed a major state government facility in Gboko and designated it as the official palace of the Tor Jemgbagh.

However, the current administration subsequently relocated the traditional ruler from the palace, a decision Chief Aondoakaa has promised to reverse upon assuming office.

Chief Aondoakaa, accompanied by some political associates, was received in Gboko East by former Chairman of the local government, Hon. Isaac Mtom and the PDP State Assembly candidate in the constituency, Hon. Moses Shawa Ugye.
