Akeredolu empowers food vendors, caterers in Ondo

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, has commenced the training and empowerment of food vendors and caterers in the three senatorial districts of the State.

According to a media note by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Richard Olatunde Olabode, the move is part of the commitment of the Governor to provide business support, train and empower entrepreneurs in the State.

The empowerment program, which will be held across the three senatorial districts of the State, is targeted at 150 beneficiaries per senatorial district.

The food vendors and caterers will have basic training on Entrepreneurship and how to run a successful business in the 21st century.

They will also be empowered with working equipment and tool under the Equipment Grants disbursement initiative of Ondo State Entrepreneurship Agency (ONDEA).

The equipment distributed to beneficiaries in the Central Senatorial district where the program kicked-off included: Two face outdoor gas burner; Ice block preserving machine;Ovens; Refrigerators; Deep Freezers and Generators.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Entrepreneurship, Mr. Summy Smart Francis urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the equipment.

He said Governor Akeredolu is committed to creating wealth and building self reliant entrepreneurs in the State.
