David Orshi, Esq, the first son of the late Tor Tiv, Late Akperan Orshi has turned down his appointment as a member of the Tinubu/Alia 2027 Campaign Organization.
Orshi, the first son of late Tor Tiv Dr Akperan Orshi, was commissioner for finance, Commissioner for youths and sports under the military regime. He was special Adviser under the administration of Chief Samuel Ortom. He was also a Special Adviser to George Akume
Orshi in his letter of rejection which he addressed to the State Organizing Secretary of the Benue State chapter of All Progressive Congress, Mr. James Orgunga wrote: I wish to draw your attention to your above list where my name featured as nominee 50 of the campaign committee list.
“Iam humbled by the confidence reposed in me and the recognition extended through this nomination.
“However, after careful consideration, i regret that i am unable to accept the nomination at this time. This decision in no way diminishes my appreciation for this gesture or my respect for the confidence you have placed in me.
Thank you once again for the honour and consideration.

Meanwhile, this newspaper gathered that Orshi’s rejection of the appointment wasn’t unconnected to his commitment to the Benue Strategic Alliance for President Bola Tinubu.
The Benue Strategic Alliance for President Bola Tinubu is being led by Chief Akange Audu.
