One of the major canvassers and Social Media handler of Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, Mr. Orkuma Azua Okuru has been under intensed heat for speaking negatively about the annual 100,000 jobs which were promised yesterday by the Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN.
Reacting to Ikyur’s political statement over the credible job scheme, John Aondo, a notable Social Media influencer in Benue state said that the annual 100,000 jobs promised by Chief Aondoakaa is achievable, noting that the PDP candidate came prepared for the Benue’s top job.
In his statement, John Aondo said:
“My brother, Orkuma Adzua Ikyur Madah, your academic credentials deserve respect no doubt but economic history should have taught you that job creation is not limited to government employment in the state civil service alone.
“When Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa SAN talks about creating 100,000 jobs annually, no one should interpret that to mean recruiting 100k people into the Benue State Civil Service every year, your perception I firmly believe is a deliberate, careless and mischievous misrepresentation of Aondoakaa’s submission.
“The real question any sane mind should ask is, can Benue State government create an enabling environment for humongous investments, industrial revolution, agricultural value chains, MSMEs, digital enterprises and other productive opportunities capable of uplifting the socio-economic status of the people on a sustainable basis ?
“Oh yes, this is doable especially with the character of Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa SAN who’s capacity is not in trepidation driving the machinery of government.
‘My brother, if Benue’s development tenets are properly put to use and earthly resources harnessed to a brime 100 thousand jobs will be moi moi but you see I don’t blame you for having doubts because our people have been engulfed with this ideological belief of defeatism “Kwagh hemba se” due to complexities surrounding the ecosystem over time”
According to him, Michael Kaase Aondoakaa’s blueprint is robust and has taken into cognizance Benue’s development segments for instance the MSMEs, industrial clusters, procurement access, private partnerships, cooperatives, tourism, local manufacturing, skills, apprenticeships, innovation hubs and agriculture as components of its job creation agenda.
