The All Progressive Congress candidate for Jechira 2027, Chief Livinus Adzer Tsar, PhD has said that President Bola Tinubu would not support any move aimed at overturning the wishes of party members expressed through direct primary elections.

According to Tsar in a statement obtained by Nigerian Concord Newspaper, the President understands the realities of democratic politics, noting that politics is local and the local people have decided who they want as their representatives at the National Assembly in 2027.

Tsar, the national convener of Livitsar Support Group pressed further that those Abuja-based aspirants who have been lobbying the party structure in the FCT and ith plots to alter the will of the people are merely wasting their time, adding that the politics of grassroot engagement will prevail in 2027.

He said, “The President cannot simply wake up and change the outcome of direct primaries won at the grassroots level in favour of candidates who lost and have no political value or support,”.

“Whatever plans are being made, day and night, will not succeed because politics is local and the people must decide,” he stated.

Speaking on the fire between the SGF, Senator George Akume and Governor Hyacinth Alia over the structure of the ruling party in Benue state, Chief Tsar stated that the former governor has no say over how politics will be played in the state in 2027.

He berated the SGF for recruiting politicians of “no value” who left the camp of Governor Hyacinth Alia with an aim to take charge of political processes in the state in 2027.  He added that plans by Senator George Akume to use upper hand to gain electoral value over the masses in 2027 is an effort in futility.
