This is the toughest period for the Member representing Konshisha State Constituency at the Benue State House of Assembly, Mr. Cephas Dyako who is also aspiring to represent Jechira at the House of Representatives under the platform of All Progressive Congress, APC in 2027.
It’s a tough period for Dyako because his kinsmen, loyalists and supporters have all rejected his aspiration with claims that he has failed them and the entire Konshisha within his seven years as a State lawmaker.
While there are complaints that there is no good road leading to his own village, there were also agitations that the only community school in his village where he himself had his secondary school education is full of dilapidated structures.
Dyako was accused of neglecting his mates, family and his immediate community. He was also accused of raising no community/constituency oriented motions, mostly anticipated where on the issues of military invasion on the shangev-tiev sometimes in 2021, land dispute between the shangev-tiev and mbaiyase of Gwer east etc
“Not even a motion of public importance bringing the attention of government to either sue the military and as well demarcate disputed areas for peace in those communities making it vulnerable without representation.worst was when he couldn’t deem it fit to be on deputy governor’s Entourage during the meetings for peaceful resolution and possible demarcation of UGAMBE mbaiyase disputed areas considering he is from that same Ward,not even a note of communication” his constituents who said that he isn’t fit for a higher position write on the social media.
On infrastructure, education and health, Dyako’s constituents wrote: “”While constituency allocation are received yearly for projects none was executed. While I commended his ability to share exercise books carrying his name and next election ambition, his alma-mata located in his village got deserted, neglected not even a share of those campaign books. More worrying is when his class of 2008 organized a lunching to facilitate a renovation of a class sometime February 16, 2023,he would only passed,going for campaign and promised 100k for himself and 50k for his then Boss RT HON Herman Hembe , none redeemed till date, a class that organized thanks giving, spent thousands in recognition for his elevation,not even a cleaner job facilitated for any till date.
“Thankfully we must appreciate the renovation of the community health clinic located at the back of his village house Anwuna commissioned by the then speaker Dajo .it is worthy of note,this was a functional clinic and was only repainted by him”
According to them, Dyako has failed them on the issues of electricity, water and other basics affordable amenities. They claimed that Konshisha has no light till date and Awajir residents close to his house still searching for water.
