Facts have emerged on how one Gabriel Ogwuche who had paraded himself as a former Lobi Stars Manager defrauded the club by taking salaries and other benefits for ten months without having a genuine employment status.
Findings by Nigerian Concord Newspaper indicated that Ogwuche who has been initiating protests against the management of Lobi Stars that he was sacked unjustly and being owed salaries was not legally employed as an official of the club.
However, it was gathered that the management of the Benue state-owned football club has begun plans to take legal action to compel Ogwuche to refund all the money he fraudulently received from the club during the time he was parading himself as an official which he wasn’t.
Sources within Lobi Stars said that the normal procedure is for a letter of any appointed official of the club to be signed by the Chairman and Vice Chairman but the letter of appointment paraded by Ogwuche was signed by a former secretary of the club, Terzungwe Ichull.
Recall that Ogwuche and his co- agitators didn’t show up at a meeting held at Aper Aku Stadium at the beginning of this week.
The meeting according to findings was to listen to Ogwuche and some others who are claiming to be staff of Lobi Stars. They were asked to come to the meeting with their genuine appointment letters and other valid documents to determine if they were genuinely recruited by the football club or not.
