GAAV PDP stakeholders pass Vote of Confidence in Ortom, Adaji, makes Akase leader

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Stakeholders from the Seven Wards of Gaav in Konshisha local government area Tuesday December 31, 2024, unanimously passed a vote of confidence in Leader of the party in the state, and immediate past Governor, Chief Samuel Ortom and urged him to sustain his efforts in repositioning the party for future successes.

The PDP stakeholders comprising Konshisha local government and ward officials of the party, other party members, as well as elders and members of G-14 from Gaav, made the decision in Agbeede when they were hosted by the former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Benue State Governor, Hon. Terver Akase.

They also endorsed the Rt. Hon. Ezekiel Adaji-led State Executive Committee of PDP and the Konshisha local government committee of the party under the chairmanship of Hon. Jacob Ane. The stakeholders equally chose Hon. Terver Akase as leader of the party in the Gaav side of Konshisha, to be supported by Hon. Thomas Anajav.

Presenting the unanimous resolution on behalf of the stakeholders, a member of G-14 and former Deputy Chairman of Konshisha, Hon. Emmanuel Ortese Kpev said the party in the entire Gaav is satisfied with the leadership style, capacity and maturity demonstrated by Chief Ortom.

He said the vote of confidence and endorsement of the former Governor was to let him know that the thousands of PDP members in the area are solidly behind him and would continue to stand by him.

Hon. Kpev particularly thanked Chief Ortom for ensuring that justice was done to Konshisha who produced the current State Secretary of the party in the person of Hon. Daniel Nyikwagh.

He also commended Akase for his commitment to the cause of PDP, stating that the choice of the former Media Adviser and erstwhile governorship aspirant as leader of the party in Gaav was on account of his dedication, selflessness and ability to mobilize the party to work as a united front.

Earlier, Hon. Akase had informed the stakeholders that he had chosen to host them to appreciate their commitment and loyalty to the party all through year 2024. He reassured the PDP faithful that the Leader of the party in the state, Chief Ortom would not relent in providing the right leadership as he has been doing.

Also speaking, the Konshisha PDP Chairman, Gwaza Ane commended Akase in fostering unity and charting the wining course for the party. He urged the people to keep faith with the party under the leadership of Chief Ortom

PDP chairmen from the seven council wards of Gaav, speaking through Mtilega Iorjaa of Mbanor ward, pledged their loyalty to the leadership of party under Chief Samuel Ortom and Hon. Ezekiel Adaji, giving assurance that they would continue to work tirelessly for the success of the party.

Other stakeholders who also spoke at the event included elder Chaikyor Bam and former Special Adviser Hon. Thomas Anajav, former Konshisha deputy chairman, Dr Mhen Iorbee, former Konshisha legislative house leader, and Hon. Emmanuel Akinde, elder Terhemen Atondo, as well as representative of Konshisha youths Jasper Dom and Konshisha PDP Woman Leader, Christiana Tyonum.
