The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial candidate for Benue North-West, Dr. Eunice Ortom, has continued her consultations ahead of the 2027 election with visits to members of her maternal family at Mkar, Gboko.
Dr. Ortom visited her maternal uncle and elder statesman, Elder Igbawua Iorumbur Joe, to seek his prayers and support for her senatorial ambition. She was received by Elder J. I. Igbawua, Elder Ama Igbawua and other party stalwarts who prayed for her and assured her of their support.
Speaking amongst them, Mr. Tyover Akaajime stated that he had a long standing relationship with the Ortom family right from from their youthful days in Gboko, emphasizing that he can vouch for the personality and capabilities of Dr. Eunice Ortom and so he is committed to the actualisation of her senatorial ambitions. They described the visit as a return to her maternal roots and encouraged her to put God first in her political consultations.
The senatorial entourage was led by the Director-General, Hon. Ortese Gbegi, and included Dr. Joseph Antyo, Mrs. Rita Ikpambese, Mrs. Tina Sorkaa, Mrs. Vera Baki, Mrs. Lyndya Okwori, Mrs. Vivian Unenger, Hon. Godwin Uwua, Hon. Abaashua Nicholas, Hon. Dooshima Uza, Hon. Aondona Isaka, Mrs. Ngohide Mkeenem, Mrs. Maureen Gyila, Mrs. Juliana Suswam, and many others.
