Cabinet shakeup imminent in Ondo ***Speaker, deputy, APC chairman penned down for removal

Some members of Ondo State Executive Council will be removed in the next few days as the deputy governor of the state, Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa takes over as governor of the state in acting capacity.

Also, some appointees of the ailing governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu will be advised to resigned or may even be sacked in the coming days by the acting governor.

They will all be sacked for their roles in the political crisis that has engulfed the state in the last four months, a source told this newspaper.

Nigerian Concord Newspaper reliably gathered that the Secretary to the State Government, Oladunni Odu is the first on the list of the State Executive Council members that will be sacked or redeployed by the acting governor next week.

Apart from Odu, the state commissioner for Finance, Wale Akinterinwa, his Ministry of Information counterpart, Olagbegi and all the commissioners that are loyal to Akeredolu have also been penciled down for sack or possible redeployment.

It was also gathered that some of the Executive Council members will be handed over to the EFCC and the ICPC for allegations of multiple financial frauds and forgeries immediately they are relieved of their duties.

Also penciled down for prosecution is the son of the ailing governor, Mr. Babajide Akeredolu who is said to have been on the run since yesterday.

As the crisis in the Ondo state APC continues, the speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Olamide Oladiji and his deputy, Abayomi Akintuntan as well as the state chairman of the party, Ade Adetimehin have aso been penned down for removal so the acting governor can have a smooth administration.

Source within the acting governor’s office told our reporter that there is no way the acting governor can be relevant or act successfully if some exco members, the speaker, his deputy and the state chairman of the party aren’t sacked.
