The statement reads:
Declaration Of Interest To Contest For Kwande/Ushongo House of Representatives Seat 2027, Benue State
13th October, 2027
It is with a deep sense of honor and respect that I, Hon. Asawa Igbadue Joseph, humbly write to officially notify you of my intention to seek the House of Representatives seat for Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency in the 2027 elections.
My aspiration is built on a foundation of service and a profound understanding of the needs and challenges of our people.
Having understudied the politics of Kwande/Ushongo and practically participated in its administration as a Legislative Aid (2019) and later Executive Chairman of Ushongo Local Government Council (2020-2022), I have gained valuable insights into the multifarious problems confronting our people, particularly those living in rural areas.
I am confident that my experience and established virtues of rectitude and sincerity of purpose makes me an ideal candidate to address these challenges as a member of the lower chamber of the National Assembly if elected.
I believe that my candidacy is also favoured by the zoning arrangement, which I see as an opportunity to bring honour and respect to our people.
My quest to represent Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency is not driven by selfishness or greed but by a genuine intention to offer unreserved representation to the people.
During my tenure as Council Chairman, I was limited in my ability to give my best, but I am now eager to take on a higher mandate and make a more significant impact.
Having acquainted myself with the challenges of the grassroots, I am confident that I will be in a better position to address them if entrusted with the responsibility.
I kindly appeal for your support in my quest to win the Kwande/Ushongo House of Representatives ticket so that together, we can make Kwande/Ushongo a better place to live.
Accept the assurances of my highest regard.
Sincerely Yours,
HON. JOSEPH ASAWA
Executive Chairman,
Ushongo Local Govt. Area
(2020-2022)
