APC group lauds INEC over decision to upload candidates of monitored primaries

The National APC Youth Vanguard has applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission over its stand to upload National Assembly candidates who emerged at primaries that were officially monitored by the Electoral body.

The National APC Youth Vanguard through its Secretary, Mallam Ado Yayale made this commendation during a press briefing in Abuja this morning.

According to the group, the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission to upload only the National Assembly candidates who emerged at primaries monitored by the commission will go a long way in resolving the impending crisis in the All Progressive Congress across the country.

Recall that the APC National Working Committee had two weeks ago substituted names of some APC National Assembly candidates with the names of serving National Assembly members in some states of the Federation.

This action has generated heat in the All Progressive Congress with some candidates who felt cheated threatening to go to court to reclaim their mandates.

But just a day ago, the Independent National Electoral Commission clear airs by promising not to upload names of candidates who didn’t emerge through primary elections that the commission monitored across the country.

While reacting this morning, the National APC Youth Vanguard stated that the Independent National Electoral Commission has once again proved that it’s reliable.

The group urged President Bola Tinubu to immediately prevailed upon the party’s National Working Committee under Professor Nentawe Yilwadta to shun the illegality they want to impose on the ruling party

According to the group, changing candidates names illegally will plunge the ruling party into heated litigations which may affect the chances of the party across the country in the 2027 general elections.
