Saying that the wealth of experience of the 2027 Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN to successfully pilot the affairs of Benue State as governor is immeasurable, a former Commissioner for Education in the State, Prof. Dennis A. Ityavyar, has reaffirmed his support for the former Attorney General of the Federation and other candidates of the party.
Ityavyar spoke on Monday during the funeral of late Papa Nyiyongu Ajim, father of the former PDP Chairman of Mbadede Council Ward and current Mbadede PDP leader, Hon. Demenongo Ajim, at Mbaakon, Vandeikya Local Government Area.
He pledged to return to Mbadede during the electioneering campaign to mobilise his kinsmen to support and vote for the PDP.
Ityavyar also condemned the disruption of a recent gathering hosted by a PDP member in Mbadede by suspected APC thugs, describing the development as unfortunate and unacceptable.
He urged the people to reject political violence and exercise their franchise wisely by supporting candidates committed to peace, security, good governance and development.
In his funeral oration, Ityavyar described death as an inevitable journey, noting that the deceased lived a fulfilled life. He prayed for the repose of his soul.
The former commissioner was accompanied by the PDP House of Representatives candidate for the Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, Dr. Terris Damsa, alongside other party leaders and stakeholders.
