Aondoakaa’s ambition is Kwande project, says KWUPO

The Abuja Branch of the Kwande United Peoples Organization (KWUPO) yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the PDP Governorship Candidate in Benue State, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN. in Abuja, assuring him of their unwavering support and solidarity ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The delegation declared that Aondoakaa’s ambition is a personal project of the Kwande people, stressing that no sane, progressive and genuinely committed son or daughter of Kwande would work against an aspiration they described as being rooted in the collective interest and future of the people.

Speaking during the visit, Chief Samuel Aondona Aga, Tor KWUPO Abuja; Mr. Philip Aondolumun Agbul, President, KWUPO Abuja; Chief Terseer Taarkpe, Ter u Ushongo, KWUPO Abuja; Chief Dr. James Vandefan, CSP (Rtd.), and Hon. Amenget Alphonsus, unanimously assured Chief Aondoakaa of their commitment to mobilising support for his candidacy and working with other stakeholders to ensure his victory in 2027.

They emphasised the need for Kwande to close ranks, rise above personal interests and divisions, and speak with one voice in pursuit of a political future that guarantees greater opportunities, inclusion and development for the people.

Responding, Chief Michael Aondoakaa expressed appreciation to the delegation for the visit, solidarity and confidence reposed in him. He took the opportunity to recount the history of his political journey and the struggles that have shaped his current aspiration, stressing that the support he has received from the people of Kwande has never been taken for granted.

Aondoakaa assured the delegation that he would never betray the trust, confidence and support of the Kwande people, adding that his commitment to the people remains unwavering.

He called for unity among the people of Kwande, stressing that the time has come for Kwande to unite as one, put aside differences and work collectively for the common good.

According to the former Attorney General of the Federation, the task ahead requires unity, sacrifice and collective determination, noting that the strength of Kwande lies in its ability to speak with one voice and pursue a common political and developmental agenda.
