Aondoakaa rallies Gboko PDP stakeholders, seeks grassroot support for 2027

The 2027 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Benue State, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN, yesterday intensified his grassroots consultations with a strategic engagement involving PDP stakeholders and party executives from the 17 council wards of Gboko Local Government Area.

Addressing the stakeholders, Chief Aondoakaa appealed for their support and cooperation, stressing that victory in 2027 would require a united and committed party structure working from the ward level through the local government and up to the state level. He called on stakeholders and party officials to close ranks, mobilize the people and work collectively towards reclaiming the state for the PDP.

The former Attorney General of the Federation and Justice Minister emphasized that the wards remain the foundation of every successful political organization, noting that the commitment of party executives and grassroots leaders would be critical to the party’s success at the polls. He urged them to take ownership of the political project, engage with the people at the grassroots and communicate the PDP’s vision for a safer, better and more prosperous Benue.

Aondoakaa also stressed the importance of internal unity, consultation and mutual respect within the party, assuring the stakeholders that their concerns and contributions would remain central to shaping the direction of the PDP as the 2027 elections draw closer.

Responding on behalf of the stakeholders, Hon. Mike Mku, Hon. Ortese Gbegi, Hon. Isaac Mtom, Hon. Lubem Asuwa Chia, elder Uchi Ande of Gboko West, Elder Ortserga of Gboko East, and the PDP Local Government Women Leader reaffirmed their support for all PDP candidates, particularly Chief Aondoakaa.

They urged him to sustain consultations with party members and the people across the state, noting that such engagements would strengthen the party at the grassroots, improve coordination among party structures and enhance mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 elections. They also reiterated the importance of unity and continuous engagement with the people of Benue.
