The governor of Benue state, Father Hyacinth Alia has technically sidelined his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula by assigning his official roles to his newly appointed Special Adviser, Mkor Aondona and the head of his internal media team, Isaac Uzaan.

Recall that the governor invited members of the Benue State APC Media Team (BAMET) led by State Publicity Secretary of APC Hon. Daniel Dan-Morgan Ihomun as well as members of his internal media team to the Benue Peoples House in Makurdi few weeks ago and handed the money meant for the transportation of the attendees to Isaac Uzaan who heads his internal media team instead of his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo.

Before then, reports had it that the governor had been briefed about the poor outings of Tersoo Kula in the media. While some members of the governor’s kitchen cabinet expressed their displeasures over his long and almost meaningless press statements on every issue that has to do with the governor, some are calling that he should be removed from the office.

One of the top members of the governor’s kitchen cabinet told our reporter this evening that: “It is true that the CPS has been having issues with the governor and some shakers and movers in his administration, and they want him removed. But to prevent public outcries, Governor Alia chose to allow Tersoo continue with his job as his CPS but he has hired Isaac Uzaan to be handling his relationship with members of BAMET as well as members of his internal media team.

“The governor also gave Tersoo’s duties to Dr. Mkor Aondona who was popular for his roles as an attack bulldog of Senator George Akume when he was the Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs. Go and start watching it, Mkor will be handling the governor’s media and public issues as from now because he is a professional in that area”

Also recall that yesterday, some members of the Benue APC Media Team , BAMET, accused Governor Alia of handing over the N3m meant for their transportation to the same Isaac Uzaan when they were invited to interface with him on his one hundred days in office yesterday.

BAMET members were very angry with the governor for sidelining his Chief Press Secretary and gave their money to Uzaan who they accused of pocketing N500,000.00 out of the N3m released for their transportation.

According to one of them, Murphy Jude, on the social media this morning, Isaac Uzaan is looking for every mean to take over Kula’s job as the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Hyacinth Alia.

Also, our reporter on a fact-finding mission reported that the press release on the governor’s one hundred days in office was issued today by his special Adviser, Mkor Aondona instead of the Chief Press Secretary who is officially in charge of Alia’s public affairs.

Apart from the official press statement which Mkor issued this morning, no other press release was issued by Tersoo Kula to state the achievements of his principal on his One Hundred days in office as governor of Benue state.
