The 2027 House of Assembly ambition of the Candidate of the African Democratic Congress for Akure South Constituency One, Ambassador Aare Abiodun Oluwarotimi got a major boost today, Friday as the entire Exco members, leaders and stakeholders of the party in Ward Eight threw their weight behind him.
Aare Abiodun who visited Oke Aro/Uro Council Ward Eight with a moderate entourage to appreciate the revered leaders and Excos of the party pleaded with them to forgive him for visiting too late.
He attributed his lateness to the post primary elections reconciliation moves which drew till towards the end of July.
According to him, Ward Eight is also his home base on the fact that he has a functional investment there.
Aare Abiodun however pleaded with his hosts to continue to seek support for all the candidates of the party like Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, the National Assembly candidates and himself, promising that all the ADC candidates are credible and they would make sure that they deliver the dividends of democracy to the people they will be representing next year.
Also speaking, the Chairman of ADC in Uro Ward Nine who doubles as the Chairman of all Ward chairmen in Akure South Local Government , Mr. Akin Alafe and one of the leaders of the party in Oda Ward Six, Mr. Igbadieye Omoniyi promised that they would continue to check the candidate once he assumes duties as a State lawmaker to ensure that he doesn’t deviate from his promises to always give what belongs to his constituents to them as and when due.
In their separate remarks, Barrister Rotimi Adeyemi, Hon. Olawale Oladele, Hon. Balogun Oluwafemi, Mr. Abayomi AB Star (Chairman), Prince Gbadebo, Hon. Alaba Oluwadare, Prince Adeolu Kuti and some members of the excos appreciated the candidate for deeming it fit to visit them even though it was a bit late.
They promised that they would deliver the Council Ward to him during the 2027 general elections.
They however advised him not to forget the promises he has made to them in the areas of credible representation and adequate empowerment as a lawmaker.
