The 2027 Governorship bid of the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN received another boost yesterday as members of the Kwande United Peoples Organization (KWUPO threw their weight behind his aspiration.
This major boost came yesterday when Chief Aondoakaa as part of his consultations with critical stakeholders across the state hosted a powerful delegation from the Kwande United Peoples Organization (KWUPO), led by its President, Comrade Aloko Nachi.
According to the group, Chief Aondoakaa’s past achievements especially when he was the Attorney General of the Federation have shown that he is the right man to lead Benue State as governor in 2027.
The delegation comprised prominent sons and stakeholders from Kwande and Ushongo Local Government Areas, who visited to interface with the PDP governorship candidate and reaffirm their support.
Also present at the meeting were the PDP’s 2027 candidate for the Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency, Hon. Mkeenem Moses, the Benue State PDP Youth Leader, Hon. David Mzer, who is also from Kwande, and several other respected sons of Kwande.
The meeting was marked by a strong display of solidarity and support for Chief Aondoakaa.
Following extensive deliberations, the members of KWUPO honoured him by dressing him in traditional Tiv attire as a symbol of respect, appreciation, and confidence in his leadership.
In his response, Chief Aondoakaa warmly welcomed the delegation, describing his residence as “a home for the people of Kwande.” He reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining a close relationship with the Kwande United Peoples Organization, noting that he is also a proud member of the organization.
He expressed appreciation for their visit and assured them of his continued dedication to the progress, unity, and development of Kwande, Ushongo, and Benue State at large.
The meeting also featured fruitful discussions on issues of mutual interest and the collective vision for a better Benue State ahead of the 2027 elections.
