The chairman of the Benue State chapter of All Progressive Congress, Chief Benjamin Omale has congratulated the people of the State, the state government under the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia and the traditional rulers in the state as the state celebrates her 50th creation anniversary.
The Benue APC chairman spoke in a congratulatory statement which he personally signed and made available to Journalists this morning in Makurdi, the state capital.
Recall that the Food Basket of the Nation, officially commenced the celebration of its Golden Jubilee earlier this week with a series of commemorative activities organised under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia
A statement from the state government noted that the public is hereby informed that the week-long celebration will culminate this weekend with a grand finale marking 50 years of the state’s rich cultural heritage, resilience, and remarkable progress.
In his statement, Chief Omale described Governor Hyacinth Alia as a visionary leader who has developed Benue State in all areas of governance since he assumed duties in 2023 till date.
According to Omale, the governor’s achievements in the areas is education, health, rural infrastructure, urban development, local government autonomy, electrification projects, security, agriculture and investment have spoken well about his good intentions for the state.
The statement reads in parts: I, Chief Dr. Benjamin Omale felicitate with the government and the good people of Benue State on the auspicious occasion of the 50th Anniversary of our dear state’s creation.
“Under our amiable governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, PhD, I pray that may this milestone inspire continued unity, infrastructural growth, and shared prosperity for all citizens of our beloved state.
“This anniversary offers a great opportunity to reflect on our journey, celebrate our rich cultural heritage, and honor the founding fathers whose vision made our state a reality. We also appreciate Governor Hyacinth Alia for his resilience to make Benue State one of the greatest in the nation .
“The Benue APC under my leadership is also proud of the resilience, industriousness, and courage of our people. Let’s keep working together to build a brighter, more prosperous future for generations yet to come.
“While wishing Benue state a very Happy State Creation Anniversary, the Benue APC also appreciates the wonderful people of the State. May the coming years bring greater development, peace, and abundance to our communities, Amen”
