In a formal announcement, former Minister for Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN, has notified the public of his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC), effective March 28, 2026.
The former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, in a statement, revealed that his decision followed careful consideration and consultations with family, associates, and supporters.
He expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and acknowledged the support Benue State has received under his administration.
He also promised to key into the renewed agenda of President Bola Tinubu
Aondoakaa also commended Senator Dr. George Akume for his role in shaping the party’s landscape in Benue State and appreciated the party leadership and members for their cooperation.
He urged his supporters to remain calm, assuring them of a new direction for Benue State’s betterment.
The statement reads: “This decision follows careful reflection and wide consultations… prevailing circumstances have made it necessary for me to take this step in the overall interest of my people and democratic values.”
