Benue South Development Forum, BSDF has blasted the Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro over his threats to mobilize against the reelection bid of the governor of Benue State, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia in 2027.
Abba Moro who has been accused several times by youths of Benue South Senatorial District of fueling killings and crisis in the zone said last week at a function that the governor’s alleged abandonment of the zone in the scheme of things is why he is going against his reelection in 2027.
Reacting to the statement from Abba Moro, the chairman of the Benue South Development Forum, Mr. Josiah Agbese said that it’s the figment of the senator’s imagination that the governor didn’t give dividends of democracy to the people of Zone C.
According to him, members of the Benue South Development Forum are from the same zone which Abba Moro said was neglected by the governor but they are all seeing the laudable projects which have been constructed and commissioned by the administration.
The group stated that the senator should mention the exact place he thinks has been neglected by Governor Alia if there is any.
According to the group, Senator Moro is justifying his loyalty to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume who is hell bent on ridiculing the administration of Father Hyacinth Alia.
The group also stated that Senator Moro has no power over the destiny of his fellow human beings like Governor Alia, stressing that his threats to stop him from returning as governor in 2027 is an act of arrogance against God, the intimate decider of man’s life.
The group faulted Abba Moro for arrogating so much powers to himself and for also equating himself to God who created all human beings..
The group reminded the senator of how he has been using militia and political thugs to destroy Benue South because of his selfish political interest.
However, the group passed a vote of confidence on the governor and his deputy, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia and Barrister Sam Ode, PhD, stressing that they will be part of their reelection bid in 2027..
