The immediate past chairman of the Benue State chapter of All Progressive Congress, Comrade Austin Agada has been accused of absconding with the N10m which the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume donated to stakeholders of the party in Benue South yesterday.
The former governor of Benue State released the money in cash at the burial ceremony of a former Minister for Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbeh as his support to mobilize stakeholders of All Progressive Congress in Benue South.
But it was reported that Agada left the scene without notifying anyone immediately the funds were handed over to him by Aides of the SGF.
Meanwhile, angry party members have vowed to retrieve the money from Agada, noting that the money wasn’t his personal money but a gift from the SGF to stakeholders of the party in Benue South.
Efforts to reach Agada on his mobile number proved abortive as his phone was switched off as at the time of filing this report.
