Wombo’s two years of impactful representation Part One: Projects in Katsina Ala

Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo is the Member representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency from 13th June 2023 till date.

The constituency comprises of three local government areas and is the largest Federal Constituency in Benue State and one of the largest in the federation.

Within the period under review, Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo has made significant contributions to all the three local government areas and has impacted in the lives of many.

Below is the highlight of his significant contributions to Katsina-Ala Local Government Area.

1. Donation of tricycles to Women Cooperative Societies/ Associations, enhancing their economic mobility and livelihood.

2. Completion of the first phase of the Gbor-Adikpo-Alam-Kera Road construction project in Katsina-Ala, enhancing transportation and connectivity.

3. Completion and commissioning of the Constituency Office in Katsina-Ala, providing a hub for constituents services and community engagement.

4. Completion of an ICT hub at Tongov Community Secondary School, Amaafu, bridging the digital divide and fostering innovation.

5. Provision of Solar mini grid Systems to Primary Healthcare Center in Agu Center, Mbatyula /Mberev promoting sustainable energy and healthcare delivery.

6. Construction of aclassroom block at NKST Primary School Abaji-Kpav.

7. Construction of the Lukul Bridge in Tiir Council Ward, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, improving access and facilitating economic activity.

8. Supplied medical equipment, motorcycles, and generators to Primary Healthcare Centres in Ayua Ikyurav-TievI Council Ward, improving healthcare services.

9. Provision of Solar mini grid Systems to Primary Healthcare Centers in Agu Center, Mbatyula/Mberev in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, promoting sustainable energy and healthcare delivery.

10. Completion of Solar Powered Borehole at, Mbaton Market in Tiir Council Ward.

11. Completion of Solar Powered Borehole at Abaji-Kpav in Michihe Council Ward.

12. Completion of Solar Powered Borehole at Ijoo-Mbatyough in Ikurav-Tiev ll Council Ward.

13. Completion of Solar Powered Borehole at St. Paul’s Catholic Church Mbakyer in Mbajir Council Ward.

14. Renovated and equipped Comprehensive Health Center Gbor Tiir, Katsina-Ala LGA, upgrading healthcare infrastructure.

15. Training and empowerment of 85 Katsina-Ala youths and women drawn from each council ward on various skills and crafts, equipping them for sustainable livelihoods.

16. Trained and empowered 110 Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) on Poultry and fish farming in Katsina LGA, fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth.

17. Facilitation of recruitment and employment of Youths and women of Katsina-Ala Local Government origin into esteemed organizations including the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Drugs and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Federal and State Civil Service.

18. Distribution and installation of solar street lights across town and villages in Katsina-Ala, promoting sustainable energy and enhancing community safety.

19. Distribution of fertilizer and farm inputs to farmers in the years 2024 and 2025 cropping season, enhancing agricultural productivity.

20. Award of scholarship of 30,000 and 35,000 to 245 undergraduate students respectively.

21. Sponsorship of a Bill for the upgrade of College of Education Katsina-Ala to Federal University of Education, enhancing educational opportunities.

22. Sponsorship of a motion to initiate moves to resolve insecurity in Sankera Axis, including the revival of the Mobile Police Unit and construction of a Forward Operational Base (FOB).
