Lobi Stars of Markudi yesterday maintained their unbeaten run after six matches as they edged Dakkada FC.
Lobi Stars got a narrow win against strugglers, Dakkada FC winning by two goals to one at the New Jos Stadium, our reporter reports.
During the match, Lobi’s Joseph Atule scored in the 8th minute to put the Stars from Benue ahead in front of the ever cheering home fans.
Meanwhile, Abbar Umar and Kumaga Suur could have increased the lead, but could not convert goal scoring chances.
Also,In the 20th minutes, Atule had the chance to make it a brace and Lobi’s second from the penalty spot, but it was missed.
In a spirited efforts, Suur doubled the lead for Lobi Stars at the start of the second half after his connecting header from an Atule’s cross.
Adewale Lasisi reduced the deficit for Dakkada FC in the 53rd minute as Lobi Stars concede at their adopted home for the first time this season.
Nevertheless, they remained resolute to end the tie with all points which keep them top of the league group B standings.
