Women delegates from NKST churches across Benue State have offered prayers for Dr. Mrs. Eunice Erdoo Ortom, the PDP senatorial candidate for Benue North-West Senatorial District, as she seeks to represent Zone B in the Senate.

The meeting, held at the NKST headquarters Mkar, Gboko, under the leadership of the Chairperson, Atese C. V. Ortyom, brought together women united by their commitment to faith and service to humanity.

Dr. Eunice Ortom appreciated God for the lives of the women and commended their dedication to His service and humanity. She acknowledged the impact of their consistent prayers and solicited their continued spiritual support as she pursues her senatorial ambition. She pledged to prioritise quality education, accessible healthcare, sustainable agriculture, job creation, and other development initiatives that would improve the lives of the people. She also urged the women to continue praying for leaders and political aspirants to uphold the genuine interests of the people.

The Director-General of her Campaign Organization, Hon. Ortese Gbegi, and the Director of Welfare, Chief Mrs. Monica Ugela, highlighted Dr. Ortom’s commitment to women’s inclusion in leadership and encouraged the delegates to remain steadfast in supporting her aspiration.

Arese Mwuese Mkena offered prayers for the candidate, asking God to grant her success and guide her to lead with wisdom, drawing from her record during her time as First Lady of Benue State.

The Senatorial candidate proceeded to exchange pleasantries to the Secretary of NKST Worldwide, Rev. Titus Agesa Targba who commended Dr. Eunice Ortom for standing firmly beside her husband, former Governor Chief Samuel Ortom, during challenging periods of his administration. He recalled the former governor’s support for the establishment of the NKST campground at Amaafo and acknowledged his contributions to the church.

Rev. Targba further described women as pillars of successful leadership, expressing confidence in their ability to make meaningful contributions when entrusted with public responsibilities. On behalf of the NKST President General and the entire church, he extended prayers and goodwill to Dr. Eunice Ortom, expressing hope that her ambition would yield positive results and bring development to the people of Zone B.
