Several leaders and members of the People’s Democratic Party in Aaye Polling Unit 21 Pelebe Polling Unit 19 and Ojomu Unit 25 in Oda Ward Six, Akure South have tendered their resignation letters to stop being members of the opposition party.
In Aaye Polling Unit 21, all the executive members, leaders and the entire members of the PDP in their resignation letter which was obtained by Crest FM stated the poor treatment which was being given to their leader, Aare Abiodun Oluwarotimi, a former House of Assembly aspirant by other leaders of the party in the Ward as the reason for their massive resignation.
In Pelebe Polling Unit 19, all the executive members and leaders said they are leaving the party because of leadership failures. In Ojomu Unit 25, the chairman, Mr. Dapo Fadipe (Okuru) stated the ongoing leadership crisis in the party as a reason he and his teaming members are leaving the party.
Some of those that resigned from the party are: Comrade Adebayo (Unit Chairman), Mrs Florence Adanlawo (unit chairman) Mr. Abayomi Oladele (Unit chairman), Dapo Fadipe (Unit chairman), Toyin Owolabi (unit Secretary), Mrs Ajoke (unit woman leader), Otunba Ariyo Kole (unit youth leader), Ajayi Oladeji, Dare Omoniyi, Adebayo Adekunle, Abbey Alade, Ayodele Alade, Sola Akinfolarin, Kehinde Fanokun (Unit PRO) Ajayi Foluke and several others.
Recall that last week, Four Principal Officers namely Mr. Omolade Folorusho , Igbadieye Omoniyi , Balogun Temitope and Sunday Ajayi left the party together with Aare Abiodun Oluwarotimi, citing high-handedness and greed from leaders of the Ward.
