Sam Ode is people-oriented, says Alia as Benue APC lauds Gov for reposing confidence in deputy

Saying that there is no vacancy for the post of deputy governor in Benue state, the state governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia has declared that he will not change his deputy, Dr. Sam Ode in 2027.

Speaking at a function during the week, Governor Alia stated that Dr. Sam Ode, an able deputy governor who understands governance is also people-oriented.

According to Alia, his deputy understands that government is about the people. “He is always with the people and for the people; one who is even a barrister, defending the Constitution”, he added.

Governor Alia also highlighted the competence and capability of Dr. Sam Ode, his deputy saying “To any person thinking any other thing, I don’t know with them. But my deputy governor is very capable, is very tested, and he has all the capabilities to perform his own functions. He understands that “Ka u i doo Benue la i soo ye”. And that is what he is doing exactly”.

The Governor who further said “I love him, I enjoy working with him. I enjoy our personal relationship”, also concluded that anybody that is dreaming to become the deputy governor of Benue State in 2027 should shelve the idea because that cannot happen during the Alia administration.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the APC in Benue state, Chief Benjamin Omale has lauded the governor for the confidence which he has reposed in his deputy..

Omale stated in his statement that the public declaration by Governor Hyacinth Alia will boost Sam Ode’s morale to be able to support the administration more than before.
