In the words of Alexander the Great “I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion”. Those words so uttered have carries in them the unquestionable nature of the true essence of purposeful leadership.
It is first about a self conviction to serve, and then about the determination to deliver on the mandate and leave a lasting legacy. The life and experiences of young, courageous and determined Isaac Terkimbi Wuaga has primed him with the ability to succeed even against the odds, and to leave a trace that a great man walked this path.
Born in the mid 80’s and raised from the humblest of backgrounds, Hon. Wuaga has tenaciously imbibed in himself the uncommon virtues of peace and humility. He hails from Tse-Tugudu, Mbawa Council Ward of Guma Local Government Area of Benue State. His parents, the ever accommodating Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Wuaga are personalities that indeed have scratched the consciousness of Hon. Isaac to the things of right. While he is of a farmer mother, his father is a retired civil servant with the Nigeria Railway Corporation .
In preparation for the unknown future that was to behold Hon. Isaac, and in realization of the effective role of education to leadership, he began his west education at the then Aunty Maggie’s Nursery and Primary School, Makurdi and proceeded to school among his kinsmen at Mbawa Community Secondary School Daudu, where he emerged the best graduating student of the 2006 set.
The compelling drive for further education saw him land the shores of then Benue State University Makurdi, BSU, now Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University Makurdi, MOUAM, where he had a litmus test of leadership by successfully piloting the affairs of his class as Representative till graduation in 2016 with a B.Sc Hons Sociology. It is equally on record that, with the 21st century demand for ICT, Hon. Wuaga armed himself with a diploma in desktop publishing.
Hon. Isaac Wuaga is therefore, moved to pick up the passionate urge to serve his people as a representative for the Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency. With his forthrightness and committed disposition to making things aright, he has began taking peaceable steps to actualize this dream by consulting appropriate quarters and fortunately, the response has so far remained positive.
In a time of growing political consciousness and efformation, there is a searchlight of truth on young men and women, with soundness of mentality and moral as well as with a fervent and unwavering dedication to serve has become no less pertinent.
Hon. Isaac Terkimbir Wuaga would then be a round peg in a round hole, and a man fit for the legislative job, courtesy of his understanding of the dynamics and complex nature of human existance by virtue of his cause of study (sociology), and practical leadership training skills acquired over the years.
It is therefore a humble appeal that, men good will open up their hearts to support this noble ambition of a fine young man that have been found fit and worthy for the plum job.
