The chairman of the Unity Caretaker Committee of the Benue State chapter of All Progressive Congress, Chief (Dr) Benjamin Omale, has warned political gladiators in the state not to mistake the simplicity of the State governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia for weakness.
Chief Omale who said this in a press statement he personally signed and made available to journalists this afternoon was reacting to a statement by the governor where he said that he chose to govern the state with utmost humility and simplicity but, warned against taking the gesture for weakness.
According to the Benue State APC chairman, the Benue State governor embodies simplicity and humility deeply rooted in his priestly calling a life shaped by discipline, service and quiet strength.
But, he warned political gladiators that the governor’s implicity should never be mistaken for weakness or passivity.
“Beneath his calm demeanor lies a resolute and courageous leader with both the will and capacity to act decisively when pushed beyond reasonable limits” he noted.
Chief Benjamin Omale cautioned that it’s imperative for political actors and stakeholders to recognize that the governor is not merely a spiritual figure, but a visionary leader with a clear and unwavering mandate to deliver.
The statement reads in parts: “His outstanding performance in governance thus far speaks volumes about his commitment to the people of Benue State. The visible transformation under his leadership has earned him widespread admiration and the recognition of national and international bodies including the symbolic gift of a flyover from His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as well as numerous prestigious awards from across the globe.
“We therefore call on politicians and critics to act with caution and a sense of responsibility. In any thriving democracy, respect for leadership is not optional it is essential. Attempts to undermine a sitting Governor, especially one with a proven track record of delivery, only serve to expose the desperation of those prioritizing personal ambition over the collective good of the state.
“His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, remains focused and unwavering in his mission to fulfill his mandate. On behalf of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), we reaffirm our unalloyed support for his remarkable achievements and extend our sincere appreciation to the good people of Benue State for their continued prayers and support.
