Chairman of the Benue State chapter of All Progressive Congress, Chief Benjamin Omale has appreciated leaders, members and supporters of the party over the ongoing decamping of politicians to the ruling party.
Omale spoke with Nigerian Concord Newspaper last night over the development, stressing that the decamping across the twenty three local government areas of Benue State is an indication that the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia is well accepted by the people of the State.
According to the chairman of the party, the massive turnout at the decamping ceremonies is as a result of the good administration of the governor.
Omale pressed further that it is a sign that both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia will have a resounding victory in Benue state in the forthcoming general elections.
He lauded Governor Hyacinth Alia for providing dividends of democracy to the people of the State which he said has endeared him to the people of Benue State who have resolved to reelect him in the next election.
He said: “The governor has done so much in giving Benue a beautiful face. He has been in constant touch with Benue traditional rulers , the youths and women. He has always been a listening person by taking counselling from Benue traditional rulers”
Omale also appreciated President Bola Tinubu for his support to the state especially in the area of fighting insurgents.
The chairman also thanked the party national chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwadta for using his good office to secure supports for all the state chapters of the APC across the thirty six states of the Federation.
Speaking on loyalty to Governor Alia from those that were elected as state and federal lawmakers in 2023, Chief Omale lauded the member representing Samkera at the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Solomon Wombo for keeping faith with the governor till now. He added that his unalloyed loyalty to the governor since he became a federal lawmaker till now is unprecedented.
Also, Omale lauded Dr. Livinus Tsar and Mr. Moses Ternenge who are close allies of Governor Alia for their usual support to the party and the Alia-led administration.
The chairman however urged the people of Benue State to rally round the governor and President Bola Tinubu so that they can have massive votes across the twenty three local governments in 2027.
