Chief Mike Kaase Aondoakaaa, SAN is a legal luminary with a vast legal experience across the globe was last year inducted as a Fellow of the International Dispute Resolution Institute in London, UK as a result of his outstanding contribution to the legal profession both in Nigeria and outside the country.

The former Minister for Justice and Attorney General of the Federation who had also served as Minister for Special Duties under Former president Goodluck Jonathan will be contesting to be governor of Benue State in 2027.

To be a governor, you must have a vast experience in governance. This is a big strength for Chief Kaase Aondoakaaa, SAN.

Michael Kaase Aondoakaa is a Lawyer, Industrialist, Agriculturalist, Investor and a Philanthropist. He holds an LL.B (Hons) Degree in Common Law from the University of Maiduguri before proceeding to the Nigerian law School, Lagos where he obtained B.L.
and was subsequently called to the Bar by the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1986.

He worked with Mikios (Nig) Ltd; Catholic Mission Road, Lagos, during NYSC and briefly after the NYSC went into active private practice, first as a junior Counsel with J. Tine Tur
& Co., before founding the present firm. He served as Secretary-General, Benue
Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture, Industries and Mines from 1993 – 1995.
He was elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 2006.

In July 2007, he was appointed Honourable Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. On 10th February, 2010, he became Minister, Special Duties in the presidency until 17th March 2010.

In 2009, he was elected the first African into the prestigious Governing Council of International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) Rome, Italy.

He is an agricultural industrialist, and is versed in quality rice production.
