The Benue State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) under the leadership of Comrade Austin Agada, today extended heartfelt felicitations to the good people of Benue State on the occasion of this year’s Democracy Day celebration.
In a statement signed by the State APC chairman, Austin Agada, June 12 remains a historic and symbolic day in the annals of the great nation, Nigeria.
The statement added that the day serves as a powerful reminder of the courage and sacrifices of Nigeria’s democratic heroes, those who stood against military dictatorship, some even paying the ultimate price to ensure that Nigerians can enjoy the freedom to choose their leaders through the ballot.
“As our dear state continues to endure a difficult chapter marked by violence and tragic loss of lives, we draw strength from the spirit of June 12. Just as Nigerians once rallied to overcome military rule, we are confident that we will also overcome these dark times and triumph over those who threaten our peace and unity”
