The attention of the office of Eyitayo Jegede SAN has been drawn to the unfounded and very false narration being peddled, by some purveyors of falsehood, suggesting that Eyitayo Jegede SAN was a member of the committee that advised on the selection of the running mate to the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming November Governorship election in Ondo state.
We wish to state clearly, and for the records that Eyitayo Jegede SAN was not a member of any selection committee, neither was he at the meeting where the decision was taken. It is the right and prerogative of the candidate to choose who his running mate will be.
Any insinuation linking Eyitayo Jegede SAN to the selection is false, unfounded, and misleading. The PDP remains a united party, and Eyitayo Jegede SAN, in line with his principled position, will continue to work for the success of the party.
