According to the group in a statement signed by its Central Publicity Secretary, Comrade Terfa Johnson Esq, the attacks will cut across the twenty three local government areas of the State of not prevented by security agencies.

The group specifically accused Mr. Wamtor Torkuma and Utan Jeremiah who are allies of a very popular political thug who is now late of being in charge of bringing political thugs from Nasarawa and Taraba states to attack party officials and members of the party across the twenty three local government areas of Benue State during tomorrow’s local government Congress.

According to Intelligence Watch, the plan was recently hatched at Senator George Akume’s residence in Maitama, Abuja at a meeting which had the attendance of one undisclosed governorship aspirant of the party and four members of the National Assembly

The plot to disrupt the local government Congress is a result of the internal and leadership crisis between Governor Hyacinth Alia and Senator George Akume over who controls the structure of the party in Benue state.

The group however called on President Bola Tinubu and security agencies in the country to immediately prevent the planned attacks so that lives and properties won’t be lost just like it happened in some parts of the county during the recently-held ward congresses.
