Benue Peace Vanguard has cautioned the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume to stop using thugs to attack those who are core supporters of President Bola Tinubu.
The group made this plea to the SGF in a press statement it sent to journalists in Makurdi this morning through its Director of Press, Ambassador John Agada.
The group was reacting to planned attacks on Chief Livinus Tsar and Moses Ternenge who are associates of Governor Hyacinth Alia and who are also core promoters of President Bola Tinubu’s reelection in Benue state.
Chief Livinus Tsar is the convener of Livitsar Support Group which is projecting two million votes for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia in the 2027 general elections.
Livitsar Support Group for Alia/Tinubu with over two million registered members across the twenty three local governments in Benue state has donated several motorized boreholes with reticulation, trucks of food items, trucks of fabrics, and as well commenced skill acquisition empowerment for thousands of people across the state as part of its efforts to promote the reelection bid of both the president and the governor.
Speaking in the statement, Benue Peace Vanguard stated that the president should caution the SGF over his planned attacks on both Tsar and Ternenge, stressing that there is no one to promote the reelection of the president if all his supporters are attacked by the SGF whom he appointed by himself.
“There are reports of planned attacks on Tsar and Ternenge on the order of the SGF and their sin is that they are loyal and dedicated to Governor Hyacinth Alia. Let’s ask the SGF who will remain to promote the cause of President Tinubu if al his supporters are killed” the statement noted.
The group also condemned yesterday’s attack on Mr. Haakyav Tombu Peter popularly known as Odubu Deli, another supporter of President Bola Tinubu who was attacked by the SGF’s men near his Makurdi residence.
According to reports, Odubu Deli was attacked by thugs linked to the SGF as a result of his constant social media supports to President Bola Tinubu and Father Hyacinth Alia
The statement reads in parts: “How can the SGF be using thugs to attack those that are supporting a president who appointed him. The president should act immediately because this will have an effect on his chances in Benue state if not immediately checked”
