The chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Benue state chapter of All Progressive Congress, Chief Benjamin Omale says the governor of the state is God sent.
Omale said this in an interview with one of our reporters in Makurdi on Monday, adding that the public acceptability of the governor shows that it was God that sent him to deliver Benue state.
Speaking on the just-concluded local government election in Benue state, the caretaker committee chairman of the state chapter of APC said that those hiding under the leadership crisis in the ruling party to discredit the election are enemies of the people of Benue.
He noted that the election was free and fair according to observers while he urged aggrieved persons to embrace the outcome of the election and join hands with Governor Alia to further develop the state.
Omale asked what again that should be done which wasn’t done that made some people who are enemies of the party to be sponsoring oppositions to contest the outcome of the election in court.
Speaking on the leadership crisis in the Benue APC, Omale said he has a mandate given to him from Abuja to ensure that he reconciles the aggrieved persons so that the party “led by Governor Hyacinth Alia” can gain more strength to deliver quality governance to the people of Benue state.
He noted that the Unity Caretaker Committee he leads has mapped out plans and strategies to bring both camps together so they can work together as one under the “leadership of Governor Alia”
Speaking further, Omale said the street walks by the governor on October 1 Independence Day Celebration was enough to show that the people of Benue state are happy with their governor.
According to him, the governor has performed excellently well in the areas of salaries and pensions, agriculture, education, health and infrastructure within a year in office as governor, and should be allowed time to do more.
Recall that APGA, SDP and LP have condemned the outcome of the election, saying that it would be challenged at the Tribunal.
