Facts have emerged on how the embattled deputy speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Mrs Lami Danladi Ogenyi allegedly used her position to illegally secure the release of some suspects that were arrested for procuring AK-47 rifles for her husband, Sunday Attah in Lafia, the capital city of Nasarawa state.
The incident which happened in June, 2025 was swept under the carpet by the investigating police team as a result of the financial inducement they received from the deputy speaker.
