The newly elected chairman of All Progressive Congress in Benue state, Chief Benjamin Omale has appreciated President Bola Tinubu for his supports to the party during yesterday’s state Congress.
In a press statement, Chief Omale also applauded Governor Hyacinth Alia, the National Working Committee of the party, leaders and members of the ruling party and all the Support Groups, like Livitsar Support Group for this support.
He also thanked all the leaders and members of the party for coming out massively to attend the Congress yesterday.
According to him, the state Congress that produced him and other state executive officers in Makurdi yesterday was the only Congress that is recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission and the National Working Committee of All Progressive Congress.
Omale pressed further that any other Congress that was held by a group of people is null and void as it doesn’t have the official recognition of INEC and the NWC of All Progressive Congress.
Omale however appealed to those on the other side to come and join hands with the Father Hyacinth Alia-led All Progressive Congress in order to move the party forward.
He also stated that their cooperation is needed as the party is entering into the 2027 general elections where the reelection of both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth will be realized.
Furthermore, the Chairman-elect warned against any action that will do contrary to the guidelines and rules of the ruling party, noting that such will be vehemently rejected by the lawful and recognized state Executive Council in Benue State.
He added that those that were organizing parallel congresses across the state are enemies of the ruling party as what they are doing is indirectly empowering the opposition parties..
