CCC Oba Alewilese mourns Pius Olarewaju’s demise

The Celestial Church of Christ, Oba Alewilese Cathedral Akure has joined mourners to mourn the demise of a global philanthropist, Superior Evangelist (Dr) Pius Olarewaju who passed on to glory this morning.

Reports said that the late Olarewaju who until his death was the Life Grand Patron of Celestial Church of Christ, Omo Alade Alafia Parishes Worldwide developed health issues this morning while having his breakfast in his private suite at Sheraton Hotel, Lagos State.

Efforts to bring him back to life through medical attention proved abortive as he reportedly gave up the ghost immediately after the incident.

Recall that Dr. Olarewaju, the Chairman and CEO of Polak Investment, Polak Insurance, Polak Hotels and Polak Group of Companies both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom relocated to London some years ago after the demise of his wife, Mrs Temidayo Olarewaju.

In a press statement on behalf of the Shepherd of CCC Oba Alewilese Cathedral, Venerable Superior Evangelist Bamidele Alewi, the Chairman of the Parochial Committee of the Parish, Senior Evangelist Aare Abiodun Oluwarotimi described the death as one that will shake the Celestial Church of Christ as a result of his philanthropist gestures to members and non members.

The statement said that his place will be difficult to fill in CCC Omo Alade Alafia Parish, Akure where he recently released a sum of N50 million from his personal purse for the payments of school fees of fatherless children from Primary school up to the University level.

Celestial Church of Christ Oba Alewilese Cathedral in the statement recall how the deceased, from his personal purse built four gigantic Parishes in Lagos, Chicago in the United States of America, Port Harcourt and Akure for the Celestial Church under the leadership of Pastor EMF Oshoffa.

The Parish also recalled how the Ondo-born insurance expert fought and supported Pastor EMF Oshoffa to actualize the CCC Basilica in Imeko, Ogun State.

Finally, Oba Alewilese prayed that God should grant the entire CCC family and his immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The Parish also urged the Shepherds and members of CCC Omo Alade Alafia Parishes Worldwide to take heart just as it prayed for the repose of his soul.
