Nigerian Concord Newspaper can authoritatively report a mind boggling scandal involving a senior official of the Benue state University in Makurdi and one Leva Titus who is a cousin to the former Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Mike Aondoakaa SAN.
According to findings, Prof ( Rev) Vatalis Torwe, the Dean media and communications studies drove out Mr. Leva Titus, who is Ph. D student at the institution over allegation that his elder, Chief Aondoakaa has not been friendly to the present state government.
A highly placed source at the University has confirmed that Rev. Vitalis Torwe, on Wednesday, sent Mr leva out of the examination hall after he accused the student that his brother ( Aondoakaa) has been criticizing the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia with insults.
A confirmed source however made it known that Reverend Towe’s action didn’t have the approval of the governor.
According to the source, Titus Leva who was duly admitted into the university two weeks wrote a test without any attack or molestation by any lecturer after from the ugly incident that occurred on Wednesday, while preparing for his examination.
The source further added that Professor Torwe, was on top of his voice shouting ” Very soon the governor is making me the Vice Chancellor of this University and I will deal with anyone that thinks he will criticize his administration”
Meanwhile, checks by this newspaper indicated that the former Attorney-General of the Federation has communicated to the governor via sms.
Aondoaka ‘s SMS to the governor which this newspaper has obtained from sources reads: “Good afternoon, your Excellency. Welcome back from UNGA.I can not remember any day I have criticized your government at any forum.I contested primaries with your Excellency, but you are our Governor now. Iam shock to hear that your fellow priest who is the Dean of mass communication sent my cousin leva Titus a duly admitted and registered PhD student out of examination hall on the grounds that I do criticize you and I contested primaries against you. As my Governor i owe you a duty to report this incident to you directly before further action. May your Excellency be blessed. Michael Kaase Aondoakaa SAN.
