**Dajoh, others promised automatic ticket, election funds
**Berger Alfred, Ipusu lead war against Gov
Barring any last minute intervention, the Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Mr. Dajoh Aondoana will be mobilizing some members of the House for an impeachment process against the state governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia and his deputy, Dr. Sam Ode.
This development follows a secret meeting which the Speaker held with two unidentified associates of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator George Akume in the United States last week.
Sources said that the Speaker who was holidaying in France two weeks ago was telephoned by a leader of the SGF camp, Elder Simeon Sango who directed him to proceed to the United States where he was to hold a follow up meeting with the two representatives of the Benue APC stakeholders.
“Elder Sango had three weeks ago met with Hon. Dajoh in Makurdi where the Speaker, after much persuasions accepted a proposal to mobilize lawmakers to investigate some activities of the State government under Governor Alia. It was at the meeting that Dajoh was informed of a meeting that would hold between him and the two representatives in the US so as to keep the plot away from the public eyes” the source said.
According to findings, Speaker Dajoh had to cut short his holiday in Paris and went straight to the United States where he held the secret meeting with the two representatives last week.
“But before the Speaker proceeded on the trip, he had sealed a deal with Honourables Berger Alfred, Peter Ipusu and three other principal officers of the House, and they agreed to join the plot provided their conditions were met. The speaker however assured them that every member that joins the plot would be given an automatic ticket and sufficient funds by the SGF for their reelection into the House of Assembly in 2027. Additionally, they will get a brand new SUV jeep each” the source said.
At the US meeting, it was agreed that allegations of fraud, contract funds irregularities and wage Bill frauds should be made against the administration by the Benue lawmakers.
This newspaper also gathered that the Speaker also accepted to reinstate all the seven lawmakers loyal to Akume that were suspended some months ago to enable the required number of lawmakers for an impeachment process against the Governor. “You can see that they were reinstated today(Tuesday). That is the first step of the plot” our source said
The source added that: “You will see drama on the floor of the House in the coming weeks. For instance, the alleged fraud issues concerning the Benue State Universal Education Board in which the House had once summoned and cleared the chairman of the Board, Grace Adaagba would be revisited. Dajoh will also ask the Majority Leader of the House to move a Motion that Dennis Akura, a former Special Adviser on Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs be summoned again to answer for the allegations that were made against him last year.
“Also, the Speaker has agreed with the SGF’s team to set up a Committee that will investigate all the contracts that the administration had awarded in the last two years. They intend to raise allegations against the Governor in order to pave a way for an impeachment process.
“Also, some pressure groups have been assigned to work with Hon. Berger Alfred from whom they will get documents and reports from the Ipusu-led adhoc committee which they will use to send petitions to the EFCC, ICPC and the IGP against targeted government officials and contractors.
“Also, they agreed at the US meeting that the Speaker should indict the Governor of inflating the State Wage Bill. Targeted government officials will be invited for investigation during the sessions of the House in the coming weeks. Some will be suspended while some of them will be arrested by anti graft agencies ”
