Benue APC Mourns the Passing of Ogbeh, Ishoribo

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Benue State Chapter, under the leadership of the State Chairman, Chief Benjamin Omale, has mourned the passing of elder statesman, patriot, and illustrious son of Benue, Chief Innocent Audu Ogbeh, who departed this life on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the age of 78.

This was contained in a condolence message signed by the chairman of the party, Chief Benjamin Omale.

The statement reads:

Chief Ogbeh was not only a towering figure in Nigeria’s political landscape having served as Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly in 1979, Federal Minister of Communications, Minister of Steel Development, and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development but also a respected farmer, playwright, and national leader whose wisdom, integrity, and service to humanity will remain indelible. His life was a testament to dedication, humility, and vision.

The party equally mourns the sudden passing of Dr. Ade Ishoribo, Executive Secretary of the Benue State Examinations Board, whose impactful service and leadership brought renewed progress to the board until his untimely demise on Friday, August 8, 2025. Dr. Ishoribo was a gentleman of exemplary character and unwavering commitment to educational development in Benue State.

On behalf of the APC family in Benue State, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the immediate families of the departed, the Idoma nation, the people of Guma Local Government Area, and indeed all Benue people. We share in your grief during this difficult moment and pray the Almighty God to grant you the fortitude to bear these irreparable losses.

May the souls of Chief Innocent Audu Ogbeh and Dr. Ade Ishoribo find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord.
