Aondoakaa vows to prioritize security, economy revitalizing, agriculture, health, education, others

A Frontline governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party in the 2027 general elections, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN has promised to focus on improving security, revitalizing the economy, strengthening agriculture, repositioning the education sector and providing quality healthcare for the people of Benue if he becomes the next governor of the State.

Aondoakaa, a former Minister for Justice and Attorney General of the Federation made this promise on Monday during two separate and important meetings with the State Working Committee and members of the G-14 of the People’s Democratic Party where he officially declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election under the major opposition party.

Apart from that, the former Chief Law Officer of the Federation states that he will place the interest of the party above his personal ambition throughout the process of selecting the party’s flag bearer. He added that unity, fairness and the success of the PDP must remain paramount.

While briefing the PDP State Working Committee, Aondoakaa said the visit was first to officially fraternize with the leadership of the party following his return from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the PDP.

While appreciating the party executives for the warm reception, the leading aspirant assured them of his loyalty and commitment to the growth and unity of the party.

Aondoakaa who later proceeded to the venue of his meeting with members of the G-14 of the People’s Democratic Party acknowledged their roles in guiding the party and that he was there to seek for their blessings.

In their response through the State Chairman of PDP, Rt. Hon. Ezekiel Adaji, the State Working Committee which formally welcomed Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa back to the party assured him of a level playing field for all aspirants.

Adaji specifically commended  Aondoakaa for understanding the problems of the state and stating the solution to the problems.

However, G-14 leader, Dr. Laha Dzever, alongside Hon. Azua Ashongu, Hon. Sarwuan Tarnongu, Amb. Chive Kaave, Hon. Ortese Gbegi and Hon. Charles Torbunde, who spoke on behalf of Kwande, Jechira, Sankera, Jemgbagh and MINDA respectively, all praised Aondoakaa as a worthy son of Benue who would make the state proud if given the opportunity to serve.
