A former Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa, SAN has congratulated the immediate past governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom, PhD, over his appointment and inauguration as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Chief Aondoakaa who is the Chairman Board of Directors Mikap Nig ltd said the appointment is well deserved, urging politicians across the country to emulate the leadership style of the former governor.
In a statement, the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice who highlighted the former governor’s governance experience, grassroots connection, and dedication to the safety of the state noted that the elevation did not come to him as a surprise.
Attributing Ortom’s appointment to the acknowledgment of his commitment and dedication towards the growth of the party beyond Benue State, Aondoakaa stated it was a decision that will greatly impact on the party.
Chief Aondoakaa SAN while congratulating the leader of the party in the state on behalf of his family and political associates said, it was a well-deserved appointment, stressing that Chief Ortom earned the position through hard work, skill, and experience which suggest that he has consistently demonstrated the qualities necessary for success in the role.
The former Attorney General further attested to Chief Ortom’s commitment to the fight against herders invasion on Benue when he was the governor of the state, which according to him had endeared him to many. He further stated that he is confident that Ortom’s wealth of experience would come to bear on his present position as a top official of the PDP both at the state and national levels.
Chief Aondoakaa urged other politicians to emulate the leadership style which the former governor demonstrated when he was serving Benue State as governor. How however described new appointments as timely and well-deserved.
